My work lives at the crossroads of hard edges and soft petals, where utility becomes beauty, and forgotten materials are reborn with a botanical soul.

I started my journey with garden markers, hand-stamped from vintage spoons. Back then, it was about giving new life to the old and the overlooked. I loved the weight of the metal in my hands, the clink of tools, and the thrill of seeing a phrase or name emerge with each strike. But over time, it evolved. Now, I’m welding flowers from forks and twisting vines from tarnished tines—creating sculptures that feel like they’ve sprouted straight out of a metal garden.

What draws me to this craft is the balance. Metal is strong and often seen as rigid, yet in the right hands, it can bend and bloom. I’m constantly inspired by nature’s organic forms—leaf patterns, winding stems, and the intricate geometry of petals. My goal is to honor those natural shapes, but reinterpret them with a gritty, industrial twist.

There’s also something symbolic about it. Nature always finds a way, even through concrete and rust. In a world that often feels fast and disposable, I love that my pieces are rooted in reuse—each one a small act of transformation and intention. A fork that once fed a family becomes a flower that never wilts. A spoon that once stirred becomes a plant stake that makes people smile in their gardens.

My studio may be full of sparks and solder, but my heart is in the garden. Every creation is a tribute to both strength and softness, a nod to the wild and the refined. This is why I do what I do—and why I’ll keep making things that bloom, even from steel.

Want to see more of what grows from silverware?
Join the Flatware & Flora Club—my monthly(ish) newsletter where I share peeks behind the scenes, early access to shop updates, and exclusive subscriber-only perks like discounts, giveaways, and first dibs on limited-edition pieces.
Whether you're a plant lover, metal art fan, or just here for the clever garden puns—you’ll feel right at home. 🌿
[Click here to join the club →]

Welcome to KB Studios: Unique Botanical Treasures for Plant Lovers & Gardeners!

http://www.joyfulfortoday.com/blog/welcome-to-kb-studios-unique-botanical-treasures-for-plant-lovers-gardeners

http://www.joyfulfortoday.com/blog/welcome-to-kb-studios-unique-botanical-treasures-for-plant-lovers-gardeners#comments

Uncategorized

Hello and welcome!
